Steve, I never watch halftime “entertainment.” It’s usually overdone and rarely relates to whatever sport is being played. That said, the break should reflect the audience. A “gimmick” that is still family-friendly is always good and certainly better than having a drunk singer or some wardrobe malfunction. And in futbol there are no real breaks until halftime so most folks have a genuine need to leave their seats and go to the restroom or get food/drink during the gimmicky halftime downtime.
